Its been said that every one in different careers have different reasons why they do what the do, Here's a Brief interview with a Super Model (a hijab Model) Jemeenah Odekilekun. Her responses will surely amaze you...

HOTNOBS: Hello Good afternoon welcome to Hotnobs Rising Stars Interview.

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN:My name is Jemeenah Odekilekun I am an hijabi model I am 20years 5"8 and I am studying law at Lagos state university I have a very strong drive for modeling and my love for fashion drove me into modeling

HOTNOBS: Two things caught my attention here, 1. Law and 2. Modeling
How do you manage them both?  because i know they are both super time consuming.

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: When one has love for two things the time must be spent wisely. Basically I dedicate my weekends and holidays for modeling but my weekdays are always and majorly for my professional course, I am always careful of not making both interfere I read everyday. Presently my CGPA is 4.22 and I know I haven't gotten what I want yet it must rise and I am working towards it effectively. So I manage my time well.

HOTNOBS: Can you tell us about your background, where you are from etc.

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: I am a Nigerian from Lagos state epe to be precised I was born into a Muslim family of 6 which I am the second child but first female child of a monogamous family my dad is  the baale i.e chief head of egudu land in Epe

HOTNOBS: This Modeling thing, whats your drive?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: My love for fashion to make lot of people out there understand what this modeling concept is all about it doesn't have to be for some particular set of people I faced a lot of challenges though still facing them a lot of people believe that an hijabi cannot model I want people out there to know that modeling is not meant for some particular set of people I am determined to go international hijabies are not to be outcasted there shouldn't be discrimination I see myself as being unique.
Though I belong to an agency khayyiramodels the ever first established muslima agency

HOTNOBS: You're a Muslim and some people expect you to cover every part of your body which is sensitive but from your pictures you mostly cover from the head to the shoulders or chest do you think what you're doing is right in your religion?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Yes I am a Muslim there is something about Islam that when you do things that brings positive effect to the religion it is permissible. Basically it is only Almight Allah who knows best me dressing like that doesn't make someone else who covers every part of the body superior to me so dressing doesn't determine how strong you are a Muslim or not. Being an hijabi model the way I cover every part of my body and my veil reaching my shoulders if I model a particular wear which put some of other Muslim off it will attract them to that wear the probability of them getting that particular wear is high they would want to rock it the way I did in a modest way too..

HOTNOBS: Why would you think you're fit to be a model?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: I have the zeal the passion the drive lastly I have a good height 5"8

HOTNOBS: What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: In Nigeria basically the industry needs all hands to be on deck for the progress of modeling industry things shouldn't be said alone but rather should be done   America has gone a long way in modeling so measures needs to be taken we need to progress we don't have to be stagnant lot of things lot of talents are always taken for granted we should be appreciated. I see myself progress in this field because I see that uniqueness in me most fashion designers, cloth line business owners and the like are always particular about their models I say it every now and then I jemeenah can do this even much better
I am determined to go international

HOTNOBS: What do you know about the advertisement industry, advertising psychology and photography?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Majorly to create awareness it is the very integral part of business even of any society

HOTNOBS: Do you eat nutritiously? How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN:  I do that regularly,
Whenever there is time,
 I don't have a fixed day

HOTNOBS: Do you take modelling as a full time job that you could quit school today if a mouth watering offer comes?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN:  I can't quit school neither will I quit modeling for school.

HOTNOBS: As a Model do you have limitations? would fame and money warrant you to model any kinds of clothes?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: I can model any kinds of cloth if I am permitted to without it infringing on my hijab. Why not if I am allowed to model it in a modest way.

HOTNOBS: what if it was a bikini?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Lol a bikini yes with my instinct without exposing my body
It all about new ideas and not old and repeated form of ideas.

HOTNOBS: how would you model in a bikini without exposing your body please i would love to know this.

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: I said this earlier it is if I am permitted to do so now there are lot of body colored jump wears which you can wear you put the bikini on.
You would be surprise to hear this buh it a new idea
A lot of people run away from bikini cos of the exposure just let me model it before You would know what I am talking about.

HOTNOBS: wait bikini modelling is aimed at bringing out the sexiness in the woman's body, so if you wear a jump wear, don't you think the aim will be jeopardized and the idea would be a total flop?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: No I don't think so fitted body wears doesn't it bring out sexiness?

HOTNOBS:  With a million girls ready to go naked for fame, do you think anyone will buy your jump wear idea?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Yes definitely I don't even think I know and i am sure.

HOTNOBS: i envy your stand and i hope it works out for you

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Thank you sir lol

HOTNOBS: Are your Family in support of this you modelling career?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN: Yes They are, My dad loves my professional course so what he is bothered about is if my modeling career won't affect law which is my course,
So there is assurance it won't affect so it ok by them

HOTNOBS: Who is your Role model in the modelling world?

JEMEENAH ODEKILEKUN:  Basma k and Agbani Darego

HOTNOBS: Any last words for your fans,  the public and aspiring models.
